Sport England is responsible for promoting and investing in sport, helping the government meet its sporting objectives in England and distributing both Lottery and Exchequer funds to sport. Its vision is to make England an active and successful sporting nation, and since 1994 it has invested over £2 billion into sport in England.

With nine regional offices located throughout the UK Sport England works with local and national bodies in both the public and commercial sectors.

Having already engaged Imerja for firewall rule base audit and configuration work, and the design, configuration and testing of a DR solution, Sport England selected Imerja through competitive tender to provide comprehensive support and maintenance services on all of its critical communications infrastructure. This includes a Cisco based LAN and perimeter security hardware, Check Point firewalls, Neoteris remote access solution and proxy servers.

Imerja also provides professional services for upgrades, changes and modifications to network and security infrastructure, as well as project based consultancy which has included firewall maintenance, penetration testing and review of disaster recovery options, and assisting in the roll out of a VOIP solution.

Looking forward to the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Imerja will continue to work closely with Sport England providing support and technical expertise through its established partnership.
