Imerja keeps Indespension moving Seeking to improve business communications and make operational cost savings, Indespension appointed Imerja to update its infrastructure and host critical business communications to keep the nationwide network mobile. With a wide UK coverage and many business transactions taking place over the internet, Indespension has a requirement to maintain the performance of key business applications across its WAN. However, due to the business’ continual growth, the existing WAN solution was proving to be expensive to scale as the sites increased.

Following an initial consultation to identify the challenges and scope out a solution, Imerja was appointed to implement a new WAN infrastructure and provide a hosting service for Indespension’s IT equipment to ensure that services would be faster and more efficient. The device is monitored and managed from Imerja’s Secure Operations Centre (ISOC) which ensures that Indespension’s services are secure and available 24x7. This instantly reduced Indespension’s operational expenditure through the use of a fully managed and monitored service. The final part of the project involved the roll out of the new WAN infrastructure, implementing a new, single ASDL connection to each remote location. Overall, the project has provided Indespension with a cost effective solution that has enabled them to deliver their services efficiently and effectively.The solution has provided Indespension with an annual saving of around 50 per cent on its previous wide area network and internet connection costs.
