Sussex Health Informatics Service Business Case
Since securing its place as an approved supplier through a Framework Agreement Imerja has established itself as a trusted partner within Sussex Health Informatics Service (HIS). From its initial engagement to review the application of IPSec and SSL technologies for the Primary Care Support Service (PCSS), Imerja has assisted in delivering a proof of concept trial of Check Point Connectra, and provided a range of technical consultancy services.
"We see Imerja as a trusted partner to help us maintain forward momentum in the development of our customers’ IT infrastructure – which is critical in supporting the drive towards realising the national agenda for modernisation and providing value for money”
Steve Orman, Head of IT Services
Sussex Health Informatics Service
Subsequently to this initial work the Sussex HIS purchased an Imerja ForeSight package to provide itself with flexible access to technical and complementary services, as and when required.
Projects include assistance with a formal business case for a Sussex Community of Interest Networks (COIN), which deliver a high bandwidth, resilient, converged network that meets Connecting for Health (CfH) requirements for the delivery of the national IT systems as well as the local and legacy systems.
This was followed by developing a business case for a cross county Exchange solution on behalf of the Sussex Partnership NHS Trust (SPT), and a business justification for the upgrade and redeployment of a separate Exchange solution for the newly formed West Sussex Primary Care Trust (PCT).
Imerja continues to support Sussex HIS, and its customers, through an open and flexible approach, offering technical expertise and support across the organisation.
