Security Engineer

Job Description Overview

Part of a dynamic team working for a vibrant security solutions company, Security Engineers work closely with customers to design, deliver and support robust, commercially beneficial and technically innovative solutions utilising the latest industry leading products and services. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support and identify, either on site or remotely, issues affecting customer systems, then formulate and implement a plan to resolve them.
• Use the internet and other sources of information to remain up to date with technical issues affecting the ICT sector.
• Meet with clients at all levels to analyse, review, identify and develop relationships that meet/exceed customer needs.
• Contribute to highest levels of prospect and customer satisfaction. Motivate and direct virtual resource teams to work effectively with you to win business.
• Make recommendations on improvements to Imerja services and service quality.

Experience

• A minimum of 2+ years providing security solutions in a technical support role to a high technical level. Implementation and support experience on Check Point and one or more of the following vendor products; Juniper, Stonegate, Cryptzone, Fortinet, Cisco.
• Formal accreditation with any of these above vendor product sets is very desirable, in particular Check Point and Juniper. Experience of networking is desirable, particularly Extreme, Aruba and Cisco.
• Fault finding on complex systems consisting of equipment from multiple vendors.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Working under pressure to tight timescales, multitasking between simultaneous projects and responding to deadlines.
• Flexible, tenacious, highly self motivated, and committed to achieving goals.

• Ability to comprehend and understand complex solutions, to fault find and identify the causes of problems.

Salary: Basic salary commensurate with experience, plus discretionary bonus. Benefits include life cover and car allowance.
